As an American Job Center for recruitment and training support, WorkSource Atlanta offers a variety of services:
- On-the-Job Training (OJT)
- Reimbursement of up to 75% of wages for eligible new hires
- Training period of up to 6 months
- Participants must be WIOA-eligible and hired as employees
- Ideal for reducing onboarding costs while building a skilled workforce
- Incumbent Worker Training (IWT)
- Helps retain high-performing employees and avert layoffs
- Covers a portion of training costs for existing staff
- Training must result in increased skills, pay, or job retention
- Supports certifications, technical training, or leadership development
- Customized Training (CT)
- Tailored training solutions designed with employers
- Covers instructor time, curriculum development, and materials
- Flexible delivery (in-person, virtual, hybrid)
- Does not cover wages or capital expenses
- Work Experience (WEx)
- Paid or unpaid internships for career seekers
- Participants are considered trainees, not employees
- Typical structure: $12+/hour, up to 40 hours/week, max 16 weeks
